My brain is a mess. A quite beautiful mess (at times), but a mess. I have too many interests I constantly switch between and struggle making longterm progress with any of them.
I thought a lot about how to give my creative passions a home and a sense of coherence, without getting lost in rigid structure. And I started to imagine my creative process more as a journey and less as a linear to do list. The idea of seeing my mind as some kind of land that I can map out and travel really spoke to me. The Land of Creation is just that. It’s my attempt to sketch my brain. Momo is a version of me, travelling this land. She doesn’t need a clear structure or a plan; she just goes where she likes to go, just as I work on whatever interests me. But she documents her travels. Little trips become noteworthy. Small projects that will never be finished get their honorable mention.
Instead of letting all of my ideas, projects, passions, … get lost in my notes, I share them here. Give them a place to live and me a sense of accomplishment despite of the messiness of it all.
What's what?
I work a lot on projects that the world never gets to see. That's okay, I really just do it for the fun. Still, somtimes it bothers me that I cannot really visualise the progress I make. Some things just disappear after some time and I forget I ever spent hours on them. That is why I came up with the idea of having creativity logs, which really just means keeping track of what I do. I usually do keep track in a notebook, but 1) that can get messy and 2) giving all of my projects a space on here gives them more meaning and me a sense of accomplishment. Right now, there's not much for you to find here. But over time, I will add notes on my progress. We will see.
This is a map of the Land of Creation. Everything worth sharing gets their home here: my writing, my music, my art, etc. There's not much here yet, because I don't want to upload all of my old stuff (eh I can use that time for tother things), but I will add new things as I go.
Here I share stuff that I consume that inspires or helps me. Cinematic videos, tutorials, visual art, you name it.
